Western University – King's University College
Jumpstart your experience by making new friends and exploring campus resources and opportunities that will ensure your academic success. This program is designed for students joining King's in the fall and is led by upper-year student leaders, this program is a fantastic way to connect with current and future King’s students in the summer before starting classes in the fall.

Career services at King’s are personal, practical and focused on helping you grow. You’ll get one-on-one guidance to explore what you can do with your degree, prepare for grad school or job interviews, connect with alumni and build a resume and LinkedIn profile that show off your strengths. You can even take part in job shadowing or meet with a career counsellor to explore your goals in more depth.
And with The King’s Promise, you’ll have a career development plan that starts early and keeps going. This signature program guarantees career support throughout your time at King’s—and if you haven’t found meaningful employment within 6 months of graduating we’ll continue to work with you, offering free courses and career prep for up to 1 year after graduation.
At King’s, it’s not just about earning a degree. It’s about building a future with purpose and knowing you won’t have to figure it out alone.
Once you’ve accepted your offer to King’s, you’ll be invited to book a Summer Academic Advising appointment. This one-on-one session is your chance to connect with an Academic Advisor, talk through your goals, build your timetable and get ready to start your courses with confidence.
Advising appointments are available from June to August, either in person or online—whatever works best for you. Instructions on how to register will be included in your offer of admission.

International students are welcomed with tailored services that include orientation, immigration advising and ongoing personal and academic support. From your first arrival to graduation, you’ll have access to programs designed to help you adjust, get involved and feel at home, like peer mentorship, cultural events and one-on-one advising.
You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the world through international exchanges, study abroad programs and summer field schools. Destinations have included France, Italy, Japan, Ghana and more, with travel preparation, risk management and credit transfer fully supported by the King’s International team.
Back on campus, students can take on leadership roles in programs like Peer Guide, Bridging Assistant and Global Ambassador, and earn official transcript recognition through the Global and Intercultural Engagement Honour.
