Our Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe Studies) program is unique in Canada, offering students beginner to advanced instruction in the Ojibwe language, leading to functional fluency. The program not only supports language preservation but also fosters deeper connections to Anishinaabe culture through campus activities like the Gathering at the Rapids Pow Wow, full moon ceremonies and Elder gatherings. Graduates can pursue meaningful careers in teaching, linguistics and policy, contributing to the revitalization and continuity of the Anishinaabe language and culture across Canada.
