Basic Requirements for Admission
Admission decisions are made on evidence of enrollment in 4U/M courses, including prerequisite courses. The minimum average for full-time admission consideration for most degree programs at Nipissing is at least 70% and may be higher. The cut-off average for some specific programs and/or majors is at least 75% with some limited enrollment programs having an even higher cut-off average.
Failed and Repeated Courses
We will take the higher grade of any repeated course.
Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
For all current Ontario high school applicants, decisions are made on a rolling basis as grade information is received with most decisions being released within the following admission rounds:
Round 1 - Beginning of December
Round 2 - Beginning of March
Round 3 - Beginning of May
Round 4 - End of July
For limited enrollment programs (Bachelor of Physical and Health Education (BPHE), Nursing (BScN), and an Orientation to a Master of Arts in History (OMAH)), a limited number of offers will be released in Round 1. The majority of decisions will start being released in Round 2 for applicants who applied to limited enrollment programs by the equal consideration deadline.
