Coût de résidence

Cost: 

$13,442.17 (traditional double, guaranteed);

$14,042.17 (Rideau House, double, limited);

$15,192.17 (traditional single, limited).

Residence fees include a furnished room, internet, utilities, All Access Meal Plan, access to residence counsellors, live-in professional staff, multiple communitiy spaces (fitness centre, theatre space, study rooms), and a 24/7 reception desk.

The All Access Meal Plan for Teraanga Commons Dining Hall includes unlimited in and out access, on-site barista, 20 food stations, trained chefs, local ingredients, nutritional counselling, and boxed meals to go!

Types de chambre

The majority of our rooms for students entering first year are double traditional-style and are assigned as single-gender.

Traditional rooms consist of 1 or 2 beds with shared washroom facilities, the majority of which are double rooms. 

A limited number of traditional singles, suite doubles and suite singles are available (usually reserved for upper-year students).

A limited number of traditional-style rooms in pods with double or single rooms with a shared washroom and common area. The pods consist of doubles and singles, a washroom facility and shared common area (usually reserved for upper-year students).

Gender-inclusive living: Students may request to share a gender-inclusive room (including the common areas and bathroom facilities). If you select this option, your roommate, pod or suitemates will be assigned by matching your profile questions, but without considering gender.

Carleton University residence offers you a number of amenities and services:

Garantie de résidence

All secondary school and CEGEP students entering first year in the fall semester who receive an offer of admission on or before May 15, 2026, are guaranteed a double traditional room. You must accept the residence offer and pay the Residence Advanced Payment (RAP) online by June 8, 2026. You can still apply to live in residence if you don’t meet these criteria.  

Acompte de réservation

The residence deposit is $700, payable by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or any Visa/Debit card) or by Interac. 

Note: Only customers of RBC Royal Bank, TD Bank or First Nations Bank of Canada may use the Interac option. All residence deposits must be paid through the acceptance process on Carleton Central, not directly through your bank. 

Plan de repas

First-year students living in residence will be enrolled in the All Access Meal Plan, which provides unlimited entry into Teraanga Commons Dining Hall, our residence dining facilily, and $100 worth of Dining Dollars.

The Dining Hall has a wide variety of healthy, freshly-cooked meals and lots of options for diverse dietary needs. The dining hall has a buffet-style service area, with meals cooked right in front of you, and large seating areas to meet up with friends and encourage community building.
